Rumors are flying right now that the Jacksonville Jaguars are making a late bid to trade with the New York Jets for none other than Tim Tebow.

Sometimes it can be hard to follow where a player signs with in the offseason, and once they do sign we can forget they signed with another team.  Here is a list of the free agent signings of every team made so far this offseason.  This list is not entirely accurate as players may have been traded or cut or something else, but it is about 99% dependable.

In less than five weeks, training camps will open around the league. Well, that's a ways off yet, and coaches are looking at their 90 man rosters and working towards what they want their final roster to look like.

Teams are going to have more of this or more of that on their rosters right now, it's the nature of the NFL. If you say a team can look at 120 players, you had better bet that in most cases, that team is going to look at 120 different players. Well, 90 players on a roster does seem to be a big enough number for now, and this is that time of year after most of the big name free agents are gone that the fans start to notice the little things, like that receiver the team just picked up, or that defensive end.

Revis wants to retire a Jet

Four-time Pro Bowl CB Darrelle Revis wants a contract that will let him retire a Jet.

"I want to retire here," Revis told Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger. "I think (general manager) Mike (Tannenbaum) knows that. I think Rex (Ryan) knows that. (The Jets) drafted me, they gave me a chance, so yeah, I want to be here and never play for another organization again. If they feel that, if Mike feels that I’m that type of person to be here, then they will compensate me. If not, then it's the business of it."

If he does get a contract that would let him retire a Jet, it would be similar to baseball Hall of Famer George Brett who signed a lifetime contract with the Kansas City Royals.

Revis hasn't said whether or not he will be at training camp when it starts July 26 for The Jets. This may mean a third holdout from the three-time First-Team All-Pro.

In 2010 Revis got a "Band-Aid" contract that has given him $32.5 million over the past twenty-one months. In the next two seasons the star CB will receive $13.5 million, and is not the highest paid cornerback in the league anymore.

Nnamdi Asomugha signed a $60 million deal with Philadelphia surpassing Revis' contract. Even Antonio Cromartie will earn $3 million more than Revis.

Part of his 2010 extension , if Revis has another holdout would mean three seasons (at $3 million base salary a year) that would void at the end of his contract if he's on the Jet's roster one day after the 2013 Pro Bowl. They are not even able to Franchise/Transition tag Revis either.

Revis made comments that he is aware that it's up to the Jets if they want to do an extension.

"I could come here every day and make a hassle, 'I want to get paid', but if they don’t want to do that -- if Mike doesn't want to do that -- then they don't want to do that," Revis said. "It might be that way. It might be they want to do it, but they’ve got to figure out the best situation to get it done."

Jets Maybin working out with Olympic star Michael Phelps

Last year the Jets acquired a player in which the Bills had given up on in Aaron Maybin. Maybin in 13 games came up with 6 sacks and helped take the "bust" label off his name. 

The Jets used him as a pass rush specialist, but this season Maybin believes he can be a three-down linebacker. Since he had a light frame which kept him off the field in some situations in 2011 Maybin has been bulking up this offseason, and hopes to play with a weight of about 250 in 2012.

"Having a little bit of extra weight on you, it helps you deal with the ground and pound of the season and all that kind of stuff," Maybin told the New York Post in Tuesday's edition. "It definitely gives you a better anchor when you're playing against the run. That was a big goal of mine during the offseason, to become a better run defender as well as improve my pass rush."

Maybin has been working with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps this offseason who's been known to eat 12,000 calories a day. Maybin has only been eating about half that amount, just enough to alter his appearance.

The Jets did not pick up a clear-cut outside linebacker in the draft, and so Ryan may be willing to let Maybin play more opposite Calvin Pace. Maybin may be turning his career around after being left in the street by Buffalo.

Stephen Hill gets mentor help from former Georgia Tech teammates

In an attempt to help make an easier transition from college to the NFL, WRs Demaryius Thomas and Calvin Johnson Jr. are mentoring Jets rookie Stephen Hill. All receivers came from Georgia Tech in which they play the triple-option offense. 

"It was kind of tough because being in the triple-option, you’re in two receivers most of the time," Thomas said. "We didn’t have many routes to go over or combinations of routes. When I first got here and saw the playbook, it was kind of tough because you had all sorts of things thrown your way. You’ve got to get used to audibles. We never did audibles in college."

Demaryius Thomas was drafted with the #22 pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2010 NFL Draft, but struggled to make his transition to the NFL with a broken foot he suffered before the NFL Scouting Combine and the lockout which prevented him from working out with his coaching staff. While working out on his own Thomas also suffered a broken Achilles during the lockout. Thomas is looking to help out Hill who is healthy and able to participate for OTAs and minicamps.

"(Thomas said) just make sure you stay in the playbook," Hill said. "We actually have coverages in the playbook to make sure we know what’s going on. He told me to ask questions of guys in the locker room because you’ve got to find answers."

Burress looking for another contract

One of the best free agents still available, Plaxico Burress, has talked about the Oakland Raiders as one of the teams he would like to join. So far this offseason though, all thirty-two teams have not shown interest in the thirty-four year-old wideout. 

"I've always thought that Carson Palmer has been one of the best deep-ball throwers in all of football since I can remember," Burress told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Thursday, via Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. "They do have some great talent over there in Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy. I think those guys are only going to get better with Carson."

While on the Jets last year Burress caught 45 passes for 612 yards, and 8 touchdowns. Palmer coud maybe improve those numbers with his big arm, but the Raiders as well have shown no interest.

Other teams that Burress has talked about that he would like to join are the Eagles and the Browns. 

Tebow not concerned if he'll be starter again

Tim Tebow has said that he's "not sure" if he'll ever be a starting QB again, and that he's not concerned with it.

NFL announces compensatory draft picks

The NFL has announced the inclusion of 32 compensatory draft picks for the 2012 NFL Draft, awarded to 15 teams.

The NFL awards these compensatory picks based on free agents a team has lost the previous season, versus free agents that team has signed.

Jets Make Sanchez one of NFL's Highest Paid Players

The New York Jets, only hours after being eliminated from the "Peyton Manning Sweepstakes" took steps to solidify their QB position by extending the contract of Mark Sanchez by three years.

The contract's details can be found here but in layman's terms tells you that Sanchez is the Jets' starter for at least the next few years.
