The 'shattered dream team' Philadelphia Eagles couldn't do much of anything on offense, except occasionally run the football. The Eagles were stopped numerous times in the red zone by the New Orleans Saints, mainly because of horrible offensive line play.
The Eagles were supposed to get back on track against a Saints defense on track to break records in yards allowed per game for a single season. This was supposed to be the game the Eagles climbed back to .500. Instead, this game was one in which it became apparent to all watching that the Eagles have issues on both sides of the ball, and that quarterback Michael Vick isn't good enough to carry a team by himself.

The Denver Broncos dominate the New Orleans Saints

The Denver Broncos scored first in the first quarter on a 1 yard Willis McGahee TD run, but the Saints would answer the bell in the second quarter with a 29 yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees to Darren Sproles.
The Broncos would once again take the lead on a 13 yard touchdown pass from Peyton Manning to Eric Decker. After this score, the Broncos added a 33 yard field goal from Matt Prater and wouldn't look back, winning this game handily.

Free agency review
Sometimes it can be hard to follow where a player signs with in the offseason, and once they do sign we can forget they signed with another team. Here is a list of the free agent signings of every team made so far this offseason. This list is not entirely accurate as players may have been traded or cut or something else, but it is about 99% dependable.

Tebow doesn't make this list, not directly, but the Tebow influence will be felt.
These are the young guns, the QBs getting a lot of attention for one reason or another, and guys that might have someone breathing down their neck for that starting job. Call it must watch QB TV if you want, I like to think of it that way.
NFL upholds penalties on Saints, sort of...

Earlier today the league announced that the penalties against the New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton, general manager Mickey Loomis, and assistant head coach Joe Vitt, will stay the same after their appeals process.
Payton got clarification on the suspension from the commissioner, Roger Goodell, on his suspension. Payton is to have no contact with his players or team that involves coaching. Goodell will review each suspension before making any reinstatement.
If the Saints personnel involved participate in the required programs and follow the terms of their suspensions, the Saints might get back a draft pick in 2013, though probably not the second round pick they lost when penalized. The Saints $500,000 fine might also get lowered, and Payton, Loomis, and Vitt might get some pay back from the time they were suspended.
Gregg Williams, did not appeal his suspension, and is out of football at the NFL level indefinitely.
Payton now has until April 16th to get some things done for the Saints, and somewhere near the top of that list has to be Drew Brees, who has yet to sign his one year franchise tag.
The NFL clearly wants to send a message here, and the teams and players need to listen carefully. For all the complaining we hear in the media about the NFL not caring about the health of their own players, then to have players participating in these types of programs, the NFL isn't going to tolerate it.
The hypocrisy has to stop.

New Orleans Saints use franchise tag on Drew Brees
Yesterday the New Orleans Saints used the exclusive rights franchise tag on Drew Brees, meaning the Saints will own his rights for the 2012 season. The tag value is expected to be between $16 million and $17 million.
This came after reports had Brees and his agent turning down the Saints latest offer, which would have made Brees the highest paid quarterback in the NFL.
