Confirmed reports have surfaced claiming the All-Pro Running Back was arrested when he refused to leave a Houston club as it was closing down.  When he finally did turn to leave, he was allegedly jumped on by several officers. Reports have varied as to whether Peterson walked or was running away from police when he was jumped on by the officers.

1:58 PM  Houston Police confirm that it was the Vikings' Adrian Peterson that was arrested.  Just for those of you that are confusing the poor former Bears RB.

2:14 PM  It was reported that Peterson was arrested at Bayou Place in downtown Houston.  It's a pretty classy place, so it's no surprise his arrest was caught on camera.

2:21 As more details come out, it is presently believed that the bar was closing and Peterson, his girlfriend, and some family members were asked to leave with the other patrons.  Peterson wanted to get some water before he left, but was instructed that he needed to leave.  Some words were exchanged, but Peterson eventually started to leave with one of the club's bouncers.  It is believed that then one of the officers jumped on Peterson's back from behind, was joined by others, and Peterson was arrested.  It is reported to be on the club's surveillance camera and several patrons phone cameras.

2:40 PM  Some reports are now claiming Peterson RAN for the exit.
