Tebow involved in trade?
By NFL-EN | dave@nflen.com
Rumors are flying right now that the Jacksonville Jaguars are making a late bid to trade with the New York Jets for none other than Tim Tebow.
Tebow wants to be a good role model
by Ryan Ebert
Once, basketball star Charles Barkley said he wasn't a role model. That generated a lot of news.
Twenty years later Barkley said, "Just because I dunk a basketball, doesn't mean I should raise your kids," Tim Tebow not only wants to be the best role model he can be, but to also be a good influence on kids.
Tebow was speaking at Qualcomm stadium in San Diego on Sunday in an event called "Fathers day 2012 -- Encouraging Men to Live, Love and Lead."
"Last time I said it I got a lot of flak for it, but I don't care," Tebow said, according to NFL Network. "There are a lot of role models out there, just there aren't many good ones.
"To me, that's so frustrating because you have in today's society so many famous athletes in baseball and basketball and football and golf, every sport there is," he went on. "If we come together to be great role models it would be amazing to see how the next generation turns out."
Tebow looked up to University of Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel, who Tebow says was open about his Christian faith and set a positive example.
"He was a huge role model for me and that is my dream and my passion to be a great role model for the next generations and the boys who are looking up to me and their dream is to be a quarterback and a great football player," he said. "I want to be a good role model for them."
Tebow is doing the right thing doing the best he can, and no matter what Barkley says, if he just wants to be a basketball player fine, but a person with his fame will always be followed.

Top Twelve quarterbacks to watch in 2012

Tebow doesn't make this list, not directly, but the Tebow influence will be felt.
These are the young guns, the QBs getting a lot of attention for one reason or another, and guys that might have someone breathing down their neck for that starting job. Call it must watch QB TV if you want, I like to think of it that way.
Tebow inspires Sanchez to bulk up
The addition of Tim Tebow to the Jets has inspired mark Sanchez to work harder...on getting more muscle. In a Q&A in White Plains New York he said this about the time he's had so far with Tebow:
"From a competitor standpoint, he’s great," Sanchez said. "He’s what you want in an offseason program -- working hard, competing with the guy in the weight room. This is a big, strong guy, so it’s good for me. That’s been one of my goals this offseason -- putting on a little more muscle mass. I’ve taken a beating during the season. It’s been a good transition and Tim’s been great."
Sanchez, still proclaimed as the starter by coach Rex Ryan, he also praised the personality of Tebow.
"He’s been as advertised, as good of a guy, if not better, than anybody said," Sanchez said. "So, he’s been a great addition so far. I’m thrilled to work with him."
He also a few things to say about new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano.
"Coach Sparano is tough," he said. "He sounds like Joe Pesci sometimes when he’s installing plays. He’ll say, ‘You got it? You got it? I’m not speaking for my health. You got it?’ It’s ‘Yes, sir’ [from] the entire room."
If anything I'd like to see Sanchez get inspired to play to better and work harder to keep his starting job. Getting bigger is nice, but it won't top becoming smarter in the system and keeping his job.

Tim Tebow continuing to show his Christian faith
by Ryan Ebert
Jets quarterback Tim Tebow hed an Easter service down in Austin, Texas where 15,000 people were listening on his every word. Tebow didn't sermonize as some people expected, but had a twenty minute question-and-answer session with Celebration Church pastor Joe Champion.
