Four UDFAs to Watch: NFCW

Continuing around the league with our Four UDFAs to Watch series, we now have a chance to concentrate on a division with arguably one of the best Wide Receivers in the league yet has four teams that have struggled to find a solid passing game.  It is fitting, then, that this year's Undrafted class would be dominated by pass catchers, with three Wide Receivers and a Tight End standing out in camp or having a solid chance to make the roster.  With a division that has been thin at those positions in recent years, it suddenly has the opportunity to be overflowing with talent that was overlooked by the league.  Without further ado, here are four Undrafted Rookie receiving options in the NFCW with a good chance to make the final roster on their respective teams.

Now that the Peyton Manning drama is over with the San Francisco 49ers, it looks like Alex Smith is back in the fold, and both sides have made up and plan on moving forward together.

49ers, Smith close to deal

Despite the recent reports that Alex Smith, the quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, wants a five year contract, they are reportedly close to terms on a three year deal.

Smith said the earlier reports of his demsnd for a five year contract are 'completely false'.



49ers Ink One Year Deal With Randy Moss

According to Adam Schefter, the San Fransisco 49ers have come to terms with veteran Wide Receiver Randy Moss.

No word as of yet what the terms of the agreement are, other than that it is a one year deal.

Age of every NFL team heading into free agency

Heading into the NFL free agency and draft periods of the off season, which teams are looking to get younger? Well, we know that going into the 2011 season, the Detroit Lions were the oldest team in the NFL, with the oldest offense and 9th oldest defense. The Lions are probably looking to get younger.

Back in August of 2011, ESPN calculated these team ages, not using special teams players. Looking at that list, one can see how the San Francisco 49ers both improved and got younger before the start of last season.
