The Browns announced today that Mike Holmgren is no longer the team president, and will not be used in an advisory role.
Holmgren had previously mentioned finishing out the season in an advisory role, but it's now clear that the Browns want a clean break. Who could blame them?
Under Holmgren as president, the Browns have 12 wins and 31 losses. There have also been rumors of Holmgren working when he wants to, and not putting in the effort or the time when he does work.
Holmgren scheduled for a press conference for tomorrow, and has stated he is open to a return to the sidelines in a coaching role. The rumor mill has him looking at the Dallas Cowboys, and owner Jerry Jones just might be interested.
Holmgren was seen talking to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones before the game with the Cowboys last week, which the Browns lost in overtime. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has been under fire in the media and might be in his last season in Dallas.
